Grilled Swordfish with Lemon-Basil Butter

  • 2 swordfish steaks
  • 1 lemon, squeezed and zested
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh basil, minced

Preheat grill to high heat.

Drizzle ½ tablespoon lemon juice over each swordfish steak and let stand for 1 minute. Rub both sides of the swordfish steaks with olive oil; salt and pepper the swordfish to taste.

In a small bowl combine butter, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, salt, and basil.

Grill the swordfish on high until opaque, about 3½ to 4½ minutes per side.

Top each steak with 1 tablespoon of the lemon-basil butter. Allow the swordfish to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
